Kick-Off Meeting in Brno Launches “Volunteering Connects” Project

The Erasmus+ capacity building project Volunteering Connects officially began with a successful kick-off meeting in Brno, hosted by the coordinating organisation Hnutí Brontosaurus. This 30-month international initiative aims to strengthen youth engagement through community-based volunteering and environmental education.

The project brings together partners from five countries: Hnutí Brontosaurus (Czech Republic), Asociación Juvenil Intercambia (Spain), Agdz Volunteers Without Borders (Morocco), Step Toward Success (Georgia), and Strom života (Slovakia). Together, we will share knowledge and best practices to empower young people and youth workers to lead meaningful local initiatives.

The main objective is to develop digital tools - including a user-friendly web application and an interactive map portal - that will guide the planning, implementation, and evaluation of youth-led volunteer actions. These tools will be tested in practice and accompanied by national and international training activities to build the capacity of organisers.

We are proud to be part of this important collaboration and look forward to supporting young people in creating positive change in their communities. Volunteering Connects reflects the core values of the Erasmus+ programme by promoting civic engagement, sustainability, and international cooperation.
